Probably the most popular sport on Gozo is football. There are many football grounds and one stadium with natural grass pitch The Gozo Stadium, formerly known as the Silver Jubilee Ground.  It approximately holds 4,000 people. It is divided into two sides: the Xewkija side and the Xagħra side. The Gozo Stadium stages matches of the highest division in Gozo. One of the most popular football teams in Gozo is Nadur Youngsters Football Club. The club was founded in 1958 and brings up young players from the village every year. This is the main reason for his Nickname.
